ATTORNEY ANSON O. REGO AND STAFF
Our Law office began in 1973, after a stint in the US Army and as a Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and an associate of the law firm of Kirimitsu and Dewa.
Over 40 plus years we provided all legal services as a full service law firm in Waianae. Yes full service, including: In sum over the 40 plus years we have gone to trial in almost every court and before various administrative body in the City and County of Honolulu as well as appeals before the Intermediate Court of Appeals and Hawaii Supreme Court. We loved most of it. It brought us joy to help people in all aspects of their personal and business life.
We then started in the early 2000s to specialize in workers compensation law as the legal world in Hawaii became more and more fractionalized and complex. We had always done workers compensation cases, among others, but we decided to build a law firm around the injured worker–their life, their problems, and their needs. We had learned so much over the years about injured workers problems they’re experiencing which they communicated and complained to us. We became passionate to find ways to help them in their time of need.
We have referrals from other clients and doctors and lawyers in the community. We decided to focus all of our broad experience to help—to help the injured worker, who we respect and found in a dilemma of unmet needs in our workers compensation system. We expanded our law practice to the neighbor islands to accommodate those who did not have easy access to workers compensation care. We now specialize in workers compensation injuries.
Since the Covid 19 crisis , we continue to represent claimants/employees who were injured at work on all islands–Oahu, Big Island, Maui and Kauai. We use telelaw techniques through video and telephonic conferencing. We found it works! We will attend Labor Board hearings wherever they are held in Hawaii. We handle appeals of workers claims. We remain 100% committed to serve the injured worker in Hawaii into the future.
